Reporting Blocked Websites

It is recommended before you submit any website that you ensure that it is not in the list of blocked websites. You don't need to submit a website that already exists in the database for your ISP.

Once you realize that a website is indeed blocked and you don't find it in the list, take the following steps:
1- Ensure that your connection is working properly and that you can access other websites.
2- Try to access the website during different times and from different computers.
3- If the website still fails, then you can report the website by clicking on the 'Report Blocked Websites' link on the program's interface (in the Actions Menu) with the following steps:

Type in the blocked domains

Then the following window will appear:

You should then type in the websites that you believe are blocked without the starting (http://) and without any directories. Just type the main domain and you can also ommit any subdomains if there were any. For example, if you tried accessing the following address:

http://www.awebsite.com/somepage/somefile.htm

Then, you should type in the following:
awebsite.com

In that way, if the website turns out to be blocked, you will be able to access any file on the domain or any of its subdomains such as:

http://www.awebsite.com/somedir
https://mail.awebsite.com/anotherdir/file.php
...

Furthermore, ensure that you have websites each on a separate line, like this:
domain1.com
domain2.com
domain3.com
.
.
.

domain100.com

as shown:

Although there is no limit to how many websites you can submit, please understand that the longer the list, the more time it will take for your computer to process them and verify if they are blocked.

Submit the domains and wait for verification

Once you submit the domains, the program will fetch them and confirm if they are indeed blocked. You will see the program processing them one by one as this:

Following that, a special browser window (part of alkasir), will pop up giving you the results of the verification process. The window may take a while to load because it does a number of comparisons and downloads data from the different servers. It will then inform you that the websites are indeed blocked or not. If a domain is not accessible, it will be ignored with a message informing you of this. This is a demonstration of what happened when we submitted domain1.com to domain5.com from a computer connected to the Internet through the ORU-SE ISP, which is in Sweden:

In case a website is indeed found to be bocked, the same window will display information noting that the website was found to be blocked and was marked to be moderated. Moderators usually respond quickly and update the database with the new website, so upon approving the website, it will become accessible by all users of that particular ISP.

You can know if a website has been approved in two ways, first by checking the website and viewing your country's section to see if the website has been added to the approved blocked websites, the second is to
and receive notifications of updates in the country's profile of blocked websites.
